Monday - June 2, 2003 - Ketchikan
Captain's Log:
We woke up around 4:30 this morning because it was light outside and we thought it was later. At 6:00am we went through Immigration on the ship - an Immigration officer looked at our birth certificate and I.D. because we were coming into the U.S. from Canada. Then we received an Immigration card that we really didn't use for anything.
We went up on the Sun Deck to watch the approach to Ketchikan. (Some photos are blue because they were taken through the wind screen.) There were other ships already in port.
We put down anchor a ways from the shore and tendered to the dock.
Around 7:00am we got in line for the tender and were soon ashore in Ketchikan. My excursion didn't start until 9:00am so we had plenty of time.
I did a little shopping in a few of the stores. I was signed up for the Snorkeling excursion. I was the only one signed up for this excursion until the day before. I talked a couple of friends into signing up - which they did. We needed a minimum of 4, so Princess sent along someone from the excursion desk to check out the tour.
